Tournaments

The England Squash calendar is already full of upcoming tournaments... Tournaments are graded according to standard, ranking points achieved, rules etc. So which ones should you enter?

  • COPPER: Perfect entry point for new players where the competition is local, fun and engaging. The Middlesex Junior Closed is classified as copper as its entrants are restricted to players within Middlesex only.
  • BRONZE: Local "open" tournaments aimed at club and county players. These tournaments will attract players from further afield so the competition gets a bit tougher. The Middlesex club tournaments are ranked bronze eg. Southgate Junior Open
  • SILVER: there are 9 silver tournaments across the country each season, aimed for higher ranked county players.
  • GOLD: Only 2 tournaments in the season, Gold competitions attract the best juniors in England. Last season Middlesex hosted the London Junior Gold in March.
  • PLATINUM: A celebration of squash, think of these as the Grand Slams of junior squash! British Junior Open, British Junior Championships and for the first time in Middlesex we'll be hosting the England Junior Championships. Players will need to qualify for this tournament, so best to get your ranking points up before the event on 9th-11th February 2024.
