New Middlesex Junior Squash Chair announced

New Middlesex Junior Squash Chair announced

Middlesex Junior Squash is delighted to announce Marco Hilgers as our new junior chair. Many of you will know Marco as an active member of the Cumberland club where his two boys are starting out as promising junior players.

We’d also like to extend a warm thank-you to Marcus Yang as our outgoing chair who has been in position for the past three years. Marcus’ son Lucas is now headed off to university so this seemed like a good time for Marcus to step down. Thank you for all the hard work you’ve done behind the scenes and we look forward to working with Marco in his new role!

Marco says: “I am excited to be stepping in as Chair for Middlesex Junior Squash. I discovered squash through my two kids who play in Middlesex, and quickly got hooked. I’ve learnt the ins and outs of tournaments, training, and the player pathway in England – so I’m here to support players and parents and help get more kids into this great sport.
I love sports, live in North West London and bring a multicultural mix to the role – half French, half German and with an Indian wife. Looking forward to working with the community and making squash even more fun for Middlesex juniors
