Inter County Finals 2023

An amazing weekend in Warwickshire was held over the 25th/26th March for the junior inter county finals where our top players competed against the other counties for the top prize. Matches were hard fought and teams showed camaraderie and sportsmanship and did Middlesex proud! A HUGE congratulations to all players and parents for supporting the kids over the weekend. Results as follows:

BU15: Damian Duckett, Alexander Varanese, Tayo Janum Yahaya, Arthur Pucelle and Matias Jerez finished an incredible 2nd place to take the silver!!

BU19: James Carman, Arjun Virdi and Leon Maudgil unfortunately missed out on the bronze as our player forfeited the 5th game in the deciding match due to illness (despite returning to court to finish off with a win which was defaulted!). Players are not allowed to leave court during a game unless its for equipment failure (broken racket for example) or a self-inflicted injury. Really unfortunate, but we love the commitment that our player returned to the court to finish the game.

GU11: Leeya Patel, Anika Raghavan and Lyla Blumberg finished 5th out of 10 counties

GU13: Karen Mills, Anisa Raja and Sophie Manson finished and excellent 5th out of 17 counties

GU15: Dalia Brooks, Zarminae Raja and Esme Rickett came 8th out of 13 counties

GU17: Sara Vats, Sachi Vats and Mira Bhattacharjee finished 10th in a tough draw
