Middlesex Teams at the London Youth Games

The annual London Youth Games qualifiers were held at Redbridge Leisure Centre on 10th June, with many of the players from the Middlesex Junior team squad playing against each other for a change. Middlesex players represented their home and/or school borough for a place in the finals at Crystal Place in July. Our players represented: City of London, Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Hounslow and Kensington & Chelsea. This is one of the few junior competitions, where players across all age ranges play against each other. In many cases, we saw some U11s players competing against players much older.

There was some strong competition from the Kent and Surrey boroughs with some of the county's top players knocking the spots off some of the younger players. However, with Haringey fielding our top county players they have reached the finalise with county coach Stephen Thompson. We wish them good luck at the finals in July.
